American Heart Association Fundraiser in North Platte

To help celebrate a successful fundraiser for the American Heart Association, Platte Valley Bank brought ice cream to North Platte Intermediate on April 23^rd and North Platte Elementary on April 28^th.

According to Derek Colburn, physical education teacher for North Platte R-1, “We participated in Hoops for Heart at the intermediate school and Jump Rope for Heart at the elementary.  All of the money for both events goes to the American Heart Association. Students that raised $50.00 or more are part of the "t-shirt club."  All together, there were 72 students in the "t-shirt club"  that had the opportunity to have an  ice cream party.”

All totaled the North Platte Intermediate and North Platte Elementary raised over $9,800.00 for the American Heart Association for research, education, diagnoses, and treatment of heart disease!  Wow!
