The Dollar Bill Kids Club Savings Program was created to help increase the fiscal and economic literacy of young children. It is designed to introduce the basic concepts of money management and its role in the lives of young people.
In 1996, the Bank Day program was originated in the North Platte School District. Since that time the following schools participate annually: Platte County R-3, Ellis Elementary in Plattsburg, Smithville Montessori II, St.Therese Catholic School, and North Platte, a total of 11 schools.
For the children that participate, we set up a bank deposit center (Bank Day) and accept deposits twice a month. The children can only deposit funds at school. Withdrawals can be made at any of our convenient locations with their parent/guardian.
