On Saturday, Platte Valley Bank helped Platte County R-3 School District celebrate their PIRATES R.O.C.K. character program. PIRATES R.O.C.K. (Raising Outstanding Character Kids) is a program designed to surround our families with examples of strong character traits through school experiences, at home, and reinforced in their faith and business community.
The celebration started at 5:00 pm with students, parents, and the community enjoying a laser light show in the gymnasium at Platte County High School. The crowd then filtered outside and onto the track and football field to enjoy cotton candy, snow cones, face painting, games, inflatable slides, and more. Platte Valley Bank supplied the dual mega slide, bounce house, cotton candy, and face painting. Three of the face painters were from the Platte County Honor Society.
The event lasted until 7:00 pm, when the rain started to fall. We hope everyone had a great time and we look forward to participating again next year!
