Your Community Bank Partners with Area Schools to Teach Local Children About Saving. The Dollar Bill Club at Platte Valley Bank started with 70 members and has grown to over 4,000 members to date. As part of the Dollar Bill Club program, Platte Valley Bank visits several area schools on what’s known as “Bank Days.” On these days children can bring their deposits to bank employees at their school. On August 28th, Platte Valley Bank visited Siegrist Elementary in Platte City to talk with 1st graders about the Dollar Bill Club, and saving money. Through a few magical tricks, the kids learned the importance of saving for the future. At the end of the presentation Dollar Bill surprised the children, gave a few hugs, and a lot of high-fives.
