Employees Gain Knowledge on CPR Training



Last week, 19 Plate Valley Bank employees learned the new “Hands-Only” CPR.

Mr. Scott Roy, Executive Director with Northland Regional Ambulance District (NRAD), visited 2 local Platte Valley Bank branches for 20 minute presentations on this new model.

In “Hands-Only CPR, the American Heart Association no longer requires one to breath in the mouth of someone who is unresponsive. They now only require those trained in CPR to do chest compressions (pushes) in a specific place and pattern until help arrives.

According to the American Heart Association, “The greater the number of people who know CPR, the better someone’s chances of surviving.”
