Chief’s Leadership Speak at Northland Chamber

On Wednesday, Platte Valley Bank participated in the annual Northland Regional Chamber of Commerce Business Expo at the KCI Expo Center. The theme this year was “Sea of Red,” to celebrate the success of the Kansas City Chiefs.

After the Chamber luncheon, we heard three members of the Kansas Chiefs leadership. Head coach, Andy Reid, president Mark Donovan, and general manager John Dorsey sat on the stage and discussed the past, present, and future of the Chiefs.

When asked about the difference between Philadelphia and Kansas City, Andy Reid said the fans in the Kansas City are passionate and ready for a Super Bowl! Reid then recalled how on October 13, 2013, the Kansas City Chiefs fans broke the world record for the loudest outdoor sports stadium. He said for the first time in his life, he actually felt a football field shake.

When the panel was over, the public was allowed to come in and visit with several local businesses. The purpose of the Business Expo was to help small businesses “dream big and achieve greatness” by visiting with other local businesses that can help them grow personally and professionally. Platte Valley Bank had decorated booth with Chiefs Colors and a football toss game. Attendees loved winning Platte Valley Bank prizes and learning about our financial management options.
