Arrive Alive, Don’t Text and Drive!

April 22nd and April 23rd  Platte Valley Bank participated in Arrive Alive at Park Hill and Platte County High School.  Arrive Alive is an annual event sponsored by the high school’s Interact Club and the Platte County Health Department. The event is intended to prevent unintentional injuries among our youth.

Those who attended participated in the following activities: the seat belt simulator, impaired goggles, safe driving tips, tricycles and texting, distracted driving videos, and field sobriety tests. The Sheriff’s Office provided information on the proper installation of child safety seats. Platte Valley Bank provided lanyards for the students, stylus pens, and held a drawing for four (4) Ipod shuffles and a gift basket.

Other participating businesses included Platte City Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Kansas City Police Department, Platte County Health Department, Missouri Department of Transportation, Platte Valley Bank, State Farm Insurance, AT&T, Tri-County Mental Health Services, AAA, Farm Bureau, Share the Road, Platte County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA).
