The Missouri Photo Workshop Arrives in Platte City

On Sunday evening, September 21st, Platte City hosted a welcome barbeque for the University of Missouri’s 66th Annual Missouri Photo Workshop. The welcome dinner was open to the public, and gave everyone the opportunity to meet the photographers and MU staff. Platte Valley Bank  was happy to assist with this event by preparing and cooking the meal.

For one week, photographers from Russia, Canada, Italy and France will be among the 43 U.S. and international photographers representing 13 countries attending the Missouri Photo Workshop in Platte City, MO. The photographers will attend workshops in the Platte City Civic Center, but they will also be out in the community. Throughout the week, each photographer had to pick a local story and spend five days photographic that subject. A public showing of the photographic displays was held on Saturday, Sept. 27 at the Platte City Middle School. Member FDIC.
