th, One hundred (100) members of the Prime 50 Club traveled by motor coach to the beautiful Mackinac Island area in northern Michigan. On the way, the first stop was in Hannibal, Missouri. Members enjoyed lunch and walking through town enjoying the sites. They then journeyed north to Sault Sainte Marie and cruised the Soo Locks, learning about the locks and the importance it has in the area. They also saw the quaint lakeside village of Saint Ignace and the Fort de Buade Museum. Members enjoyed a guided tour of Mackinaw City, Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse, Mackinaw Crossings, and Colonial Michilimackinac. The highlight of the trip was the visit by ferryboat to the peaceful island of Mackinac, where the only mode of transportation is by horse and carriage, walking, or bicycle. The group took a leisurely carriage ride tour around the island and saw the splendid sites of Arch Rock, Lilac Lane, and the magnificent Grand Hotel. On the way home a stop was made at the Gerald Ford Museum in Grand Rapids.
