On June 15
th our Prime 50 Club traveled by motor coach to enjoy a warm and sunny day in Miami County Kansas. Our first stop was at Powell Observatory where we learned about astronomy and viewed the sun safely. We also learned about the upcoming August 21, 2017 solar eclipse that will be seen in our area.
After enjoying a delicious meal at Timber Creek Restaurant, we moved on to the Cedar Cove Feline Conservatory and Sanctuary where we learned all about the program and how it was started before taking a tour of the grounds to view the “Big Cats of Kansas”.
We took time for one last stop at Louisburg Cider and Mill to shop before boarding our coach for the return trip to Platte City.
