{Night Before French Toast Casserole}
6-8 slices Texas toast bread, 8 eggs, 3 c. milk, 1/4 c. sugar,
3/4 tsp. salt, 1 tbsp. vanilla, 4 tbsp. butter, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon,
syrup (any flavor)
Spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick spray. Cut bread into one inch slices. Arrange slices in one layer in bottom of pan. Beat eggs, milk, sugar, salt and vanilla in large bowl. Pour over bread in pan. Bread will float on top of liquid. Cut butter into small pats and dot over bread. Spring with cinnamon. Cover. Refrigerate overnight. Place dish in cold oven. Turn oven temperature to 350 degrees (325 degrees if dish is glass). Bake for 45-50 minutes or until bread is puffy and light brown. Let set for 5 minutes. Serve. Makes 8-10 servings. Enjoy!
